Medallion Magic

This is a simple card that I have recreated over and over with a few different colours. This one is on Very Vanilla with Soft Suede Ink.

The Medallion image is stamped in the center of the card, then the medallion image is stamped a second time on a separate piece of vanilla, only this time, I stamped off twice. Then the circle cut out by hand, stamped with the ‘Thank You’ and edged with ink and sponge. Finally the circle is positioned on the card with dimensionals. Have a go yourself with this gorgeous card and leave me a message with a link to a photo!

A Rose is a Rose

These beautiful little boxes were designed by my friend Helen. She has admired this set for such a long time and finally got it to make these as favours for an anniversary dinner for her parents. She actually let me help and play with this set, as it is one that I don’t have myself!

This set of 14 stamps is a two step stampin’ set. Two step stampin’ is where you create one image by layering and combining stamp images.

Each rose was stamped in Regal Rose and then the second image in Rose Red and then individually cut out and arranged. The box itself is in Bordering blue.

a couple quick thank yous

As a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, I rely on our demonstrator support staff for all those little things I can’t do myself or don’t know. They are always at the other end of the phone ready to help!

These two little cards made their way to Germany last week just to let them know how I feel. And I wasn’t the only one, a number of other demonstrators joined in and sent off cards too, I hope they were really encouraged!

Materials used: XL bird punch, Sweet Pea Designer Paper, En Francais background stamp. Colours are Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive and Barely Banana

Materials: Scalloped Square Punch, Circle Circus and Say with Scallops Stamp Sets, Earth Elements Buttons, Line Thread

Colours: More Mustard, Always Artichoke, Not Quite Navy, Soft Suede

I made this pretty card for my new team member to say welcome!

Bella Toile is one of Stampin’ Up’s background stamps. With one stamp, you’ve got a gorgeous background and in this case it is the main image, just added a few embellishments.

The strip of black in the middle is card that has been scored alternately at 1cm and 2cm and then folded back and forth to create some texture. Finished it off with pretty in pink ribbon and a bow with a pearl threaded into the middle.

Craft Class Card

There are still spaces left in my craft classes next week and I’m now revealing the second card that we will make as part of the class.

As you can see, it is a very simple card. I have intentionally created some simple cards for this class because the bag is quite time consuming.

The layout of this card was inspired by a challenge at Clean & Simple. It’s one of my favourite places to go to for card ideas. WHAT! All your cards are no original ideas? That’s right, many of mine are straight from my head, but in the crafting world we all CASE each other…which simply stands for Copy And Share Everything! Credit must be given where it is due, but we all inspire each other! So don’t ever think, I just can’t be that creative, or maybe you usually are, but need some mojo…well just do some blog surfing!

A Card for my Dad

Having trouble coming up with a Father’s Day Card? Here are my basic rules for creating cards for men:

no flowers, swirls or girly things (pretty obvious!)
I prefer not use any kind of image, just lines and geometric shapes
clean and simple

Now, on that basis, here is my Father’s Day card this year.

Colours: Soft Suede, Bashful Blue and a teensy bit of Rich Razzleberry

My friend Helen helped me out by taking care of Lauren last week, so I bought her an ink pad to say thank you. She mentioned she liked the new Soft Suede, so that’s the one I chose for her! But of course, it had to be given in a very Stampin’ Up! way……right?

For this box, I adapted similar boxes I’ve been making lately to fit the ink pad, and also used some of my new Soft Suede card stock! It’s a lovely sort of Mocha colour…..the image I posted on my last post does not do it justice!

I used very vanilla and some Designer Paper from the Bella Bleu set to make the lid. It’s tied up with some vanilla grosgrain, and to finish it off, used some more Designer Paper to cover a letter H in chipboard….

I love it, and I knew Helen would love it too, cause she is a fellow crafter!
